Frequently asked questions

How do I add a Morse keyboard to my iPhone?

Install Morse Lux, then open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and choose Morse Lux. In any app, hold or tap the globe key to switch to it.

Does the Morse keyboard work in WhatsApp?

Yes. It is a system keyboard, so it works in WhatsApp, Messages, Instagram, Telegram, Mail, Notes and any other app with a text field.

Why does the keyboard ask for Full Access?

Full Access only lets the keyboard read the settings you choose in the app (like your language and keyboard mode) from your iPhone. It does not store what you type, does not read the clipboard and sends nothing over the internet. Without Full Access it still works with its default settings.

Can I type normal letters and send Morse?

Yes. In “Letters to Morse” mode you type normally and the keyboard writes dots and dashes. It is the easiest way to send secret messages to friends.

Is the Morse keyboard free?

The dot and dash keys and the “Letters to Morse” mode are free. The tap key, where you tap one key short and long like a telegraph key, is part of Morse Lux Pro.
